On this day in Prince history 22 years ago, Prince did a cameo appearance in his hometown of Minneapolis at the Sheila E show at First Avenue, where he played guitar on Too Sexy. After the Sheila E show Prince together with Brown Mark and Bobby Z perform a small set at First Avenue’s 7th Street entry.
The setlist included Africa Talks To You, Jam, Erotic City and Mutiny. This was also the night I got a ticket for driving Prince’s limousine without a chauffeur license

Update: Where’s the Rolex
After posting the “Where’s the Rolex” story, we got an e-mail from former Paisley Park Office Manager, Therese Stoulil.
Hi Guys,
I don’t know how it ended up in my desk at Paisley Park for many years, but the day I left (May 1996) I handed it over to Juli Knapp - saying, “I want to go on record as handing this watch over to you. I don’t want to be accused of having taken it.”
I gave her that watch; his house keys and keys to Paisley Park and then walked out.
PS - all the documentation was still in the box.
Stay tuned
- Hucky

Prince Trivia - One Nite Alone Tour
June 9, 2006 | 12:00 am
The One Nite Alone world tour started off in the US. He played small 2,700 - 3,600 seats theaters. The first legs were 9 shows. Then followed a 20 day break followed by another 17 shows until the end of April.
During this second leg many shows were announced and rescheduled or completely cancelled. The tour was announced during an NPGMC chat. The shows had the opportunity for NPGMC members to watch the soundcheck, where Prince was very loose and talked quite often to the fans. Some were even allowed on stage and sing or play guitar.
At the end of May a 10 date Canadian leg followed. After the Canadian leg followed the Xenophobia Celebration and in early September the first dates of the European leg were confirmed. Many dates floated round on the internet, but many proved to be false. Surprisingly this tour had a date in Milan, Italy.
Prince hasn’t been in Italy since the financial problems from his 1990 Nude Tour. During the tour 3 more dates were added. The first was another show at the Ahoy, later followed by 2 Late Night Shows (after the main show) in Paris, Le Bataclan and Rotterdam, Night town. The last one was the end of the European tour. There was much commotion around these 2 extra, Late Night Shows.
NPGMC members complained that it was basically an aftershow (what the setlist proved) and the should be allowed access to aftershow for free, where the member has to pay. Ticket for these 2 shows were $100 each, which added extra oil to the fuel. Despite this, all tickets were sold.
During the European tour an 8 date Japanese tour was announced, later to be extended to 9 dates as another Tokyo show was added. After this rumors started for an Australian tour where he hadn’t been since 1992, but nothing came off it. He did add one more date in Las Vegas to end the tour, plus a TV appearance on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show.
