Cat in Rome at the Colosseum 1988
September 6, 2006 | 1:09 am
Here’s some Lovesexy tour history. We stayed in Rome from 9/4//88 to 9/7/88. The show was cancelled because of the poor state of the stadium. Being a national monument it was feared that it would decay even more and rock concerts were forbidden there. The show was to be filmed and broadcasted throughout the world. This being the planned last show of the tour. After the Modena Italy show 9/3/88 we had a choice either go to Rome and hang out, or go to Dortmund Germany 9/8/88. Most of the crew stayed in Rome.
Side notes: The 2 Dortmund shows were added after the Rome concert was cancelled. Most of the tickets to these shows were sold in Holland. The last show was filmed with 17 cameras by a Dutch film crew and broadcasted live or with a little delay throughout Europe.

Interesting. I would love to see some of thos shows that were filmed.
Question for you Hucky, when you guys would go to places like the collesium and other famous or historic places around the world, did they shut them off to the rest of the public for you guys enjoy? Like in that picture of Cat, did they close it just for the “Prince Camp” or where there “civiilans” around? And if it wasn’t closed how did you all deal with the general public so you could enjoy the visit?
